Volunteer Opportunities
The Springfield Parks Foundation has an active board committed to promoting volunteer opportunities within our parks. We have established “Friends of” volunteer groups in Washington Park, Lincoln Park and now Jefferson Park. These volunteer groups reach out the their surrounding neighborhoods to promote volunteerism and stewardship in their specific parks. We are currently working to establish similar “Friends of” groups in other parks in the community. As a Foundation we want to promote ownership and pride in our parks and we feel the “Friends of” Program does just that.
