Congratulatons everyone!!!!!

The Washington Park Lagoon boardwalk area won 1st Place in the "Not-For-Profit category of the Springfield In Bloom contest. We received a very nice sign to put up at the lagoon and a $200 gift certificate at Farmers Market, which of course will be used to purchase more plants.

I want to thank everyone who sacrifices their time and puts in the extra effort to help keep OUR park beautiful, it was your hard work that was recognized tonight.

Speaking of hard work, we have a reputation to uphold now so I will see you all down at the boardwalk area for our next workday on Saturday August 16th at 0800. Again for you early risers the Tool Wagon and myself will be down there at 0700. We will be doing some more weeding, cleaning , planting and putting up our 1st place sign.
