MUSIC IN THE PARK CONCERT SERIES CONTINUES SUNDAY, JUNE 20

Springfield, IL…The annual Music in the Park Concert Series continues this Sunday, June 20, at Jaycee Park, 2300 East Monroe, across the street from Washington Middle School. This month’s featured band is John T. Crisp, Jr.’s Chahrm with Ada Lou. The concert is hosted by the Springfield Parks Foundation and sponsored by the Springfield Park District, Hardees and Illini Bank.

John T. Crisp, Jr.’s Chahrm with Ada Lou plays smooth jazz standards from the 30s and 40s, blues and a few country and western tunes with a jazz twist. New Orlean’s own trumpet man Frank Parker will be a special guest. Parker will join vocalist Ada Lou, keyboard man John T. Crisp, Jr., their drummer and guitarist. John T. Crisp, Jr.’s Chahrm with Ada Lou have been entertaining for over 7 years.

The concert series is free to the public and runs from 4-7 p.m. Concert goers are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs or blankets. Hardees will be on hand with food and beverages for sale to the public.
