MUSIC IN THE PARK CONCERT SERIES KICKS OFF MAY 23

Springfield, IL…The second annual Music in the Park Concert Series kicks off Sunday, May 23, 2004 at Iles Park, corner of 6th and Ash Streets, featuring the musical entertainment duo, Lady and the Sax. The concert is hosted by the Springfield Parks Foundation and sponsored by the Springfield Park District, Hardees, Illini Bank, Hanson Professional Services and the Employees of the Illinois Auditor General.

The concert series is free to the public and runs from 4-7 p.m. Concert goers are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs or blankets. Hardees will be on hand with food and beverages for sale to the public.

The duo, Lady and the Sax, features Archer and LeeAnn Logan. They play smooth jazz with vocals, and have been entertaining for over 18 years at private parties, wedding receptions and country clubs. This is the second year that they have played for Music in the Park.
