NEW CONSERVATORY AT THE INN AT 835 TO HOST 2005 MUSIC IN THE PARK FUNDRAISER

Springfield, IL…Conn’s Catering & Events is hosting a fundraiser for the Springfield Parks Foundation’s Music in the Park concert series on Thursday, April 7 at the Conservatory at the Inn of 835, 835 South Second Street. The fundraiser is open to the public and will be from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25. Advance ticket sales are requested by calling 787-2538, but tickets also will be sold at the door. Live music will be provided by singer-songwriters Eva Hunter and Michael Burnett. Conn’s Catering will serve hors d-oeuvres, beer, wine and soda and mixed drinks will be available on a cash basis. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to pay expenses for the Music in the Park concert series.

The Music in the Park concert series is a popular and growing community program held on Sunday afternoons May through September in Springfield area parks. It has attracted more than 4,000 people from ages 2 to 90 over the past two years. Music in the Park provides families with a venue to gather in our beautiful public parks to enjoy a variety of music such as big band, rhythm & blues, jazz and more.

Sunday, June 26th @ Lincoln Park – Acoustic Rock
Sunday, July 17th @ Comer Cox Park - Rhythm & Blues Celebration
Sunday, August 7th @ Washington Park – Modern Celtic Party
Sunday, September 25th @ Enos Park – Jazz and Blues
