2005 MUSIC IN THE PARK SUMMER CONCERT SERIES DATES SET

Springfield, IL…The dates are set for the 2005 Music in the Park Concert Series sponsored by the Springfield Parks Foundation. The popular and growing community program held on Sunday afternoons May through September in Springfield area parks has attracted more than 4,000 people from ages 2 to 90 over the past two years. Music in the Park provides families with a venue to gather in our beautiful public parks to enjoy a variety of music such as big band, rhythm & blues, jazz and more. Bring your blanket or lawn chair and come enjoy the concerts.

The 2005 concert and park schedule is as follows:
Sunday, May 15th @ Douglas Park - Big Band Jazz Show
Sunday, June 26th @ Lincoln Park – Acoustic Rock
Sunday, July 17th @ Comer Cox Park - Rhythm & Blues Celebration
Sunday, August 7th @ Washington Park – Modern Celtic Party
Sunday, September 25th @ Enos Park – Jazz and Blues
